PRIVACY RATINGS
SIZE SPECIFICATIONS
Each Fresco fabric is rated for privacy and light control. See Price List for individual fabric ratings

Low – Lends a light, airy covering to windows, screening bright light while still allowing you to enjoy the view.

*Chantilly – This style is translucent and is influenced by specific light conditions.  Fabric color may appear to vary depending on time of day and type of lighting, as well as whether the shade is partially or fully lowered.

Medium – Screens bright sunlight to varying degrees and  protects furnishing from the damaging effects of sunlight.  Deep colored fabrics provide some room darkening, while light colors soften and diffuse bright light.  These fabrics provide a moderate to high amount of privacy at night, although silhouettes of objects and movement within a lighted room may be visible to some extent.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Wrinkled or creased fabric
While some fabric wrinkling or creasing can be expected, most fabrics will relax as the shades hang over a period of time. Additionally, a hand-held steamer can be used as you would on drapery panels.

Loose thread at the side of the shade
Stray threads can be trimmed with a sharp pair of scissors. All Fresco fabrics have hemmed edges that are guaranteed not to fray (with the exception of Chantilly).

Shade will not drop completely
Untangle any cords that may be twisted near the cord lock.

Fabric panels hang unevenly
Cord clips on back of shade need to be straightened (lined straight up and down). Also, raising and lowering the shade will help align clips on the back
Shade needs to be shortened or lengthened
Remove plastic hem rail cover and roll, or unroll, fabric from hem rail. Replace plastic cover.

Panel Width
The widest single panel fabric is 90", available in one style (Chantilly).  Narrower fabrics need to be manufactured as multiple shades on one headrail with a 1/4" gap between panels.

Window Depth Requirements
Classic Flat shades need at least 1 7/8"of mounting depth in order to block visibility and provide maximum light control.  Teardrop Looped shades require at least 2 7/8" due to the fabric shape.

Light Control
Heavier fabrics in darker colors provide maximum light control.  Chantilly fabric provides the least light control.  None of the Fresco
fabrics provide 100% blackout.

Raising Shade
The continuous loop lift system option is beneficial when the shade is large and heavy, and when cords gathering on the floor would be bothersome or dangerous.
Fresco shades, and roman shades in general, have a larger stack when raised (area of glass remaining covered) than many other products. Teardrop Looped shades have a larger stack than    Classic Flat shades.

Due to the relaxed nature of the fabric, slight wrinkling or creasing can be expected.

The top panel is always full size, and the bottom panel will be adjusted according to the height of the shade. This gives an improved appearance when multiple shades are used in the same room.

Fabric widths range from 63" to 90".  Check fabric styles in the sample book for exact fabric width

Optional cut yardage will not have the white backing that is used on the fabrics featured on shades, and in sample book.  All fabrics are available in 1 linear yard minimums (# of yards x maximum fabric width).  Cut yardage fabric may need to be ironed with a press cloth when received.  Cut yardage fabric is provided as is – there is no warranty regarding suitability in desired application.
Coordinate an entire room by adding cushions made with available cut yardage to match Fresco shades.
